Prices checked Oct 21, 2026 · 4 shops
We found 4 Des Moines tire shops that list an install price on their own SimpleTire shop page, from $35.99/tire (3 shops) to $57.00/tire (Merrill Axle and Wheel Services Inc.), for tires ordered through SimpleTire and shipped to the shop, with mounting, balancing, valve stems, disposal and a TPMS reset included. None publishes a price for tires you buy elsewhere and carry in yourself, so call for an out-the-door quote first.

Usually, but none of the 4 Des Moines shops we checked publishes a carry-in policy or price. All 4 publish a price when the tires ship to them through SimpleTire. For tires bought anywhere else, call and ask for the out-the-door price per tire.
Published ship-to-shop prices for SimpleTire orders run from $35.99/tire (3 shops) up to $57.00/tire (Merrill Axle and Wheel Services Inc.), with valve stems, disposal and a TPMS reset included and a 4-tire minimum. The median is $35.99/tire. Carry-in prices aren't published.
No. Costco's Tire Center FAQ says it “will only install Costco-purchased tires,” and its tire disclaimers say it won't service tires bought by non-members. See our Costco page.
Ask: Do you install tires I bring in? What's the per-tire price for mount and balance? Are valve stems, a TPMS service kit, disposal and any shop fee extra? Do you charge more for low-profile, run-flat or large tires? Do I need an appointment?
