Will Firestone install tires bought somewhere else?
Policy checked Oct 24, 2026
Firestone doesn't publish a policy for tires bought elsewhere. We found no carry-in (customer-supplied tire) policy or price on the Firestone Complete Auto Care or Tires Plus websites, so the only way to know is to call your store. What is published: Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus and Wheel Works stores that are SimpleTire installers list $48.99 per tire to install tires ordered through SimpleTire and shipped to the store. That is a ship-to-shop price for SimpleTire orders, not a carry-in quote.
What Firestone's pages and SimpleTire's listings say
| Policy | Source |
|---|---|
| No carry-in policy found. Firestone's tire installation, tire repair, tires and warranty pages, and Tires Plus's tire cost page (all in this table), describe installing tires you buy from them. None says whether a store will mount tires bought elsewhere or what that costs. | Firestone Complete Auto Care — Tire Installation Services, checked Oct 24, 2026 (page fetched) |
| Firestone's installation steps: remove the wheels and old tires; “Inspect the wheels, lug nuts, and valve stems”; “Replace TPMS kits or replace rubber valve stems”; mount the new tire, inflate it to seat the bead, balance each tire, and put the wheels back on. The page adds free rotations “on sets of Bridgestone or Firestone tires” and “a lifetime balance option.” | Firestone Complete Auto Care — Tire Installation Services, checked Oct 24, 2026 (page fetched) |
| The tire repair page lists Tire Mounting as “Included in tire purchase”, with a tire pressure check and wheel assembly balancing. No separate mounting price is shown. | Firestone Complete Auto Care — Tire Repair Services, checked Oct 24, 2026 (page fetched) |
| Firestone's own online ordering is three steps: find your fit, “ORDER ONLINE”, then “BOOK INSTALLATION” at your local Firestone. Under “What's included with a tire purchase?” it says “Our team of auto professionals mounts every new tire” and offers free lifetime rotations at participating locations. (firestonecompleteautocare.com/tires/buy-tires-online/ now redirects to this page.) | Firestone Complete Auto Care — Tires, checked Oct 24, 2026 (page fetched) |
| Tires Plus says that when you shop tires there it gives an “out-the-door” estimate “which includes the cost of the new tire, installation costs, and fees in one price”, and that TPMS is recalibrated when it installs new tires. The page doesn't cover tires bought elsewhere. | Tires Plus — How Much Do Tires Cost, checked Oct 24, 2026 (page fetched) |
| Bridgestone and Firestone brand limited-warranty adjustments are made only at an authorized Bridgestone, Firestone and associated-brands retailer, and the page points you to “your nearest Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus, Hibdon Tires Plus, Michel Tires Plus, or Wheel Works location.” To get an adjustment you “pay appropriate replacement price, taxes, disposal fee, and service charges, if any.” | Firestone Complete Auto Care — Tire & Wheel Warranty Options, checked Oct 24, 2026 (page fetched) |
| Ship-to-shop, SimpleTire orders only: Firestone Complete Auto Care, 2510 W Interstate 20, Grand Prairie, TX lists “Tire installation $48.99/tire”, including “Mounting, balancing”, “Rubber valve stems”, “Tire disposal”, “Tires shipped to installer”, “TPMS Reset (not a new kit or sensor)” and 12 months of 24/7 roadside assistance. Rim sizes 14–24. SimpleTire notes the fee is standard installation only and that extra fees, such as a replacement TPMS sensor or an oversized-vehicle charge, may apply. | SimpleTire — Firestone Complete Auto Care, Grand Prairie, TX, checked Oct 24, 2026 (page fetched) |
| Ship-to-shop, SimpleTire orders only: Tires Plus Total Car Care, 221 N Interstate Dr, Norman, OK lists the same $48.99/tire installation with the same included items and 14–24 inch rim range. | SimpleTire — Tires Plus Total Car Care, Norman, OK, checked Oct 24, 2026 (page fetched) |
| Ship-to-shop, SimpleTire orders only: Wheel Works, 39270 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA lists the same $48.99/tire installation with the same included items and 14–24 inch rim range. | SimpleTire — Wheel Works, Fremont, CA, checked Oct 24, 2026 (page fetched) |

What to do instead
- Bringing tires you already bought? Call the store first. Firestone doesn't publish whether it accepts customer-supplied tires, so ask whether it will, and get the out-the-door price for four: mounting, balancing, valve stems or TPMS kits, disposal and any state tire fee.
- Still shopping? If you want a Firestone, Tires Plus or Wheel Works store to install them, one published option is ordering through SimpleTire and choosing that store as the installer. Its shop pages list $48.99 per tire with mounting, balancing, rubber valve stems, disposal and a TPMS reset included. On Oct 24, 2026 we loaded the SimpleTire page of every Firestone-family installer listed in our city guides (184 shops), and all 184 showed $48.99 per tire. Each city guide links its shops' pages. That price applies only to SimpleTire orders.
- Bought Bridgestone or Firestone brand tires online? Their limited warranty is handled at authorized retailers, including Firestone Complete Auto Care and Tires Plus stores, so keep your receipt.
- Compare with local shops: each city page below lists the shops that publish install prices, with sources.

FAQ
Will Firestone mount tires I bought on Amazon, Tire Rack or SimpleTire?
Firestone's own websites don't say. We checked its tire installation, tire repair, tires and warranty pages, plus Tires Plus's tire cost page, on October 24, 2026, and none states a policy for tires bought elsewhere. Call your store. Separately, many Firestone and Tires Plus stores are SimpleTire installers, so SimpleTire orders can be shipped to them.
How much does Firestone charge to install tires bought elsewhere?
Firestone doesn't publish a carry-in price. The only published Firestone-store install price we found is on SimpleTire: $48.99 per tire for tires ordered through SimpleTire and shipped to the store (Grand Prairie, TX; Norman, OK; and Fremont, CA shop pages, checked October 24, 2026). That is not a carry-in quote.
What's included in the $48.99 SimpleTire install price at Firestone stores?
The SimpleTire shop pages list mounting and balancing, rubber valve stems, tire disposal, shipping the tires to the installer, a TPMS reset (not a new kit or sensor) and 12 months of 24/7 roadside assistance. SimpleTire says extra fees, such as a replacement TPMS sensor or an oversized-vehicle charge, may apply.
Is Tires Plus the same as Firestone?
Firestone's warranty page sends Bridgestone and Firestone warranty claims to Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus, Hibdon Tires Plus, Michel Tires Plus and Wheel Works locations. Neither the Firestone nor the Tires Plus site publishes a policy for tires bought elsewhere, so call the store you plan to use.
